So, I went to a bachelorette party recently and got a funny story out of it. The bride's maid of honor was in charge, and she had done a lovely job putting the party together.

She had invited all the friends of the bride, she had decorated everything beautifully, and she had planned lots of fun bachelorette games. As it turned out, one of them was a bad idea.

The bride's maid of honor had an idea. She thought it would be funny if everyone drank margaritas for this game and answered questions. If there was a question you didn't want to answer, you had to finish your drink. At first it didn't seem like a bad idea.

After all, it was a group of us girls, and what girl doesn't like trading funny stories and gossiping? Unfortunately, when we were about halfway through, the game took a turn for the worse. The ladies were coming up with question that ended up turning the place into something that looked like an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. It would have been better if we moved on to one of the other bachelorette games, but everyone was stuck on this one.

There was a lot of gut spilling, and some of them were sobbing as they told about their husbands or boyfriends. What started as funny stories about the guys ended up being a contest as to who had the worst guy!

Some of the others were reassuring the sobbing girls before telling their own stories. Towards the end of it all, at least a couple of girls were all but passed out on the beautiful party decorations. Bachelorette games get out of hand sometimes, and this was a prime example.

I remained one of the few sober ones, luckily for me, and watched all this in horror. I remember thinking as I got ready to leave, "I wonder if there's still going to be a wedding?"
