The cyber world faces a growing epidemic these days. The suffering it causes increases almost daily. The rapid expansion of blogging and the habits of veteran Internet users has only caused it to grow more. The resulting pain is extensive.

More and more bloggers begin to feel the disappointment, the dissatisfaction, the boredom and the feeling of giving up. There is hardly any blogger who has not felt this curse that continuously comes and goes - this curse which we call the depression blog.

A mood disorder called the "depression blog" affects many bloggers from different walks of life. During this time, a dreary disposition is expected coupled with the loss of enthusiasm for routine activities - including the internet. Many sufferers experience a feeling of despondence, discontentment, and melancholy and can easily be infuriated. The mood is quite contrary to the person's normal behavior/mood.

A change mood can negatively impair social, occupational, educational, as well as other important functioning. Substances such as drugs, alcohol, or medications can cause depressed mood. However, this is not considered to be a major depressive disorder. Similarly, depressed mood caused by a medical condition is also not considered a major depressive disorder.

Most people will be affected by depression in their lives both directly or indirectly, through a friend or family member. Confusion is ordinary about depression, for example, about what depression exactly is and what makes it different from just feeling down. There is also misunderstanding surrounding the many types of depression. Not knowing about the type of depression a person is suffering can be difficult for the family and friends.

Depression is portrayed by a number of common symptoms. These symptoms include a persistent sad, anxious, or empty mood, and feelings of hopelessness or pessimism. A person who is depressed also has feelings of guilt, worthlessness, and helplessness. They no longer take interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities that they once enjoyed. This may include things like going out with friends, family or browsing the net. Insomnia, early morning awakening, and oversleeping are all common symptoms of depression.

Some symptoms of depression can be reduced appetite and weight loss, or conversely overeating and weight gain. Other may experience a loss of energy, constant fatigue, or the feeling of being slowed down. Friends and family can help alleviate symptoms of restlessness and irritability. A depressed person can come out of their illness when enough depression support is provided.

Other signs of depression can be persistent physical symptoms that do not respond to treatment such as chronic pain, digestive disorders and headaches. These people can also suffer from anxiety attacks. Anxiety support from family and friends can be very helpful to a depressed person.

More and more bloggers begin to feel disappointment, dissatisfaction, boredom and feel like giving up. There is hardly any blogger who has not felt this curse which we call the depression blog. If adequate depression support is available, the depressed person can overcome the illness. When a person is depressed they also have trouble concentrating, remembering and making decisions. Physical signs like headaches, digestive upsets and chronic pain that don't improve with traditional treatment are symptomatic of a depressive illness. These individuals can also experience periods of anxiety. If they receive anxiety support from friends and family it will be of great help.
