Camping Stoves: Cook The Same As You Would At Home
The days of camping with my mom and dad are wonderful memories. Pitching our tent in the local camp ground, we would settle in for the weekend. Our cooler overflowing with a supply of doughnuts for breakfast was also stuffed with pop, beer and hotdogs.
Because cooking on a campfire was not worth the effort, that store of doughnuts and hotdogs would keep us fed for the entire weekend. To a child, it first seems great, but after a while, the fun of cooking the hotdog over a fire while mosquitoes eat you alive wears off. And by the last day of camping, the breakfast doughnuts are no longer fresh. Even the most finicky eater dreams of a plate of hot bacon and eggs.
Things have certainly changed as the RV's pull into the camp grounds these days sporting a full kitchen and DVD players, not too mention the air condition units and full size beds. Camping has become a luxury for some, no more roughing it unless you really want to.
Those of us who still like to rough it; we can still have some amenities of the rich and famous RV fellows we camp beside. We have our blow up air mattresses, ceiling fans (although quite small) for our tents, and cooking has become simpler as well with the use of a camp stove.
Camping stoves have come a long way and now come in various sizes, and styles. Camping stoves are making camp ground cooking just as easy as it is at home. When I pull into my camp ground these days my cooler is stocked with steaks, potatoes, hamburger, corn, onions, and any other item that could be cooked at home.
I own a camping stove with one grill and two burners. It grills steaks perfectly and is easily moved. It simplifies my life when I'm camping and attempting to provide a meal for a fussy bunch of kids, although they still like toasting hotdogs on a stick till they're blackened, a simple hamburger or a handful of chicken nuggets makes my weekend a breeze.
Campers can now purchase air mattresses and ceiling fans for their tents. Even cooking outdoors is easier by using a camp stove. Modern camping stoves make cooking around the camp about as simple and easy as it is from home. These stoves are available in numerous sizes, styles and models to affordably fit almost any lifestyle. Of the many stoves available, one of my favorites has a grill and two burners. It's portable, and grills a steak perfectly and the kids can still char broil their dogs. Cooking, hamburgers or even chicken nuggets will always make for a happier camping experience.
